L.I.M.A. Methods
Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive — we use the gentlest effective approach for each dog, not the harshest shortcut available.
STSK9 certified, L.I.M.A. methods, and a training approach that changes with every dog — not a one-size-fits-all program.
A lot of trainers run a "one size fits all" program. I focus on changing the methods depending on the dog I'm training — because every dog learns differently, and what works for one won't work for another.
A lot of people do this for money. I do it to help dogs and their owners. I love seeing the big transformations happen with each dog — that's what keeps me going.
Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive — we use the gentlest effective approach for each dog, not the harshest shortcut available.
Pushing a nervous dog faster than it can go doesn't build obedience — it builds fear. We move at the speed of trust.
Methods change depending on the dog in front of us. What works for a confident shepherd won't work for a anxious rescue — and we plan accordingly.
Training that only works in a quiet room isn't training. We proof behaviors around the distractions your dog actually lives with.
I've shadowed and worked under a lot of different trainers, all with different approaches to training. My first job was at a dog daycare at 14 years old — and I haven't had a non-dog related job since.
I've been professionally working with dogs for over 5 years, but have been training family and friends' dogs since I was in middle school. That range of experience — from many trainers, many methods, many dogs — is exactly why I train the way I do today.
